Gerald C. McDevitt has 25 years of experience as a federal and state court qualified expert in the fields of collision reconstruction, forensic mapping, and Emergency Vehicle Operations. He has reconstructed or assisted in the reconstruction of over 850 fatal traffic collisions with Total Station technology including 3D animation for incidents involving homicides, felony DUI’s, vehicular homicides, commercial vehicles accidents, marine craft accidents, IED/VBIED bomb blasts, motorcycles accidents, auto pedestrian accidents and auto bicycle accidents.

He has investigated an estimated 5000 plus serious injury collisions and over 10000 minor vehicle collisions. He assisted the ATF national response team in forensically mapping the Charleston Sofa Super Store fire that claimed the lives of 9 Charleston firefighters.

His courtroom experience includes twenty-five years of municipal, county, state and federal testimony and has been recognized as an expert in the fields of accident reconstruction and forensic mapping and emergency vehicle operations.
